I wrote the silly little Mary Had a Little Lamb program from the book that came with the Basic Stamp. I showed it to Chris and suggested he compose something new.
After a few minutes, he told me he needed rests. There was no code for rest. I suggested he type z and then showed him how we could make that play with a frequency of zero.
His composition was much more enjoyable than Lamb, especially when it was played over and over. We put the stamp in a box. He designed cover art for the box and took it to school to impress his friends.
