Tektronix wrote its own microprocessor programming language and named it after the legendary electrical engineer. A single front-end and text-based intermediate form drove multiple code generators.
Tesla allocated variables in memory where they were easily accessed with the feeble addressing modes of 8-bit microprocessors. Unfortunately this made recursion or reentrancy awkward.
